I personally am glad I tried.  I have been working within WA for 11 months now and I have built 2 websites that are both generating me consistent business (one my local brick and mortar business, the other a niche website).   The support has been on point from both Kyle and Carson.  I have personally contacted Kyle more up to this point, but I had a technical issue with my website and Carson handled this within a few hours.   I also have built friendships with others within the community, one friend that i am toying the idea of starting a business with!  Live chat can be a hoot too.

Wealthy Affiliate saves my life and I can tell you I have been with them for 6 months and already generating income. Yes they say it does take time to work it but you have to make it work as well. Even those like myself never knew how to build a website I manage to make sells already and that's not just selling WA information, but other products I created as my own niche. The negative impacts or comments some.of you have shared about Wealthy Affiliates are wrong. You just dont give the time nor the effort to accomplish the training and materials provided. And as far as assistance online with WA, I got beyond the assistance needed. Wealthy Affiliate I referred over 80 people and they ALL love it!! So with that being said I have no issues with WA. Stop making it seem like they are SCAMMING you out of your money....
Speaking of the benefits of permanent ads, banners and links aren’t the only ways to earn a little bit of dough off your online endeavors. By having a website, you gain the power of emailing companies to ask them for things. I have no shame in letting the yoga company whose mat I’m looking into purchasing know that I have a blog and write for yoga publications – it sometimes gets me discounts.

Now I imagine there are some highly motivated and disciplined individuals who could utilize the membership training and community resource to build a profitable businesses; however… The main sales page is a bit misleading in that I feel it grossly oversimplifies the process of establishing a profitable site, and it nowhere near emphasizes just how much work will be involved. Not to mention, the several months you will have to devote to this before you start seeing any sort of income.

So actually, the reason I personally signed up for Wealthy Affiliate is likely much different than the reason YOU want to sign up. Chances are, you want to learn about how to make money online legitimately, learn how to build a website, how to blog, and more importantly, how to earn money from that blog. I wasn’t looking for that. I already knew how to do all that stuff. Instead, I signed up as a way to vet the training, tools, and resources provided by Wealthy Affiliate because I wanted to see if it was something I could promote on this very website you’re reading.

They just did the same thing to me! I spent lots of time building a site and decided to cancel my premium membership which was set to renew on 11/28/18. I emailed tech support and questioned people in their “live chat” and was told by both I would have 30 days after the renewal date to move my site. The problem is I cannot access it. I am working 14 hour days and had planned to ,move it yesterday on my only day off and I am beyond angry they are holding my work hostage. I have tried to email them twice to find out how to access the site and no response. I do not want access to their entire platform just admin access to my site. If I have to pay a month of premium to backup my work I will file complaints with the FTC as well as the BBB. This is terrible business practice. They already got 2 years worth of premium fees out of me and then lied or gave me incorrect info about the amount of time I would have to back the site up. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND WEALTHY AFFILIATE TO ANYONE. They are friendly as long as their hand is in your bank account. Does anyone know how I can get admin access to my wp site outside their platform so I can back it up before they delete it?

Well, if you’re into putting in the time for mere pennies, have you tried Amazon’s Mechanical Turk? If you’re into tedium and enjoy transcribing copy and/or correcting others’ grammatical faux pas, you should check it out. I wouldn’t buy that cabana on the beach just yet, but, hey, it’s a start, and if you put in a couple hours every day, you will probably make out better than with IM, and you can feel slightly superior to the guys with all the money asking you for help because they don’t know a homonym from a dangling participle. 😉

And the thing is, if you are able to write lots of content and you want to earn money doing it, you can join Textbroker and get paid per article. I know it’s not residual income, but it gives you a better return on your time up front.

I’ve left Wealthy Affiliate in January this year but I didn’t know that I have to transfer my sites before closing my paid membership and after that they didn’t want to give me access to WP- admin area of my sites and after a month they destroyed both of my sites. They didn’t want to give me technical data necessary for transferring my sites to hosting somewhere else. I also had one referral on WA and that person is still there but after leaving WA, I didn’t get my commissions. I had awful experience with them and I’ll never promote them again! Best regards!
