The lessons can be useful to those just starting out, but I think that their service attracts a lot of misled buyers because of how easy they make it all seem. Sure, you could make some money in affiliate marketing if you follow their training and tutorials and put in an ungodly amount of work. I’m sure of this, but . . . most people who arrive at Wealthy Affiliate will be lucky if they make enough money to pay for their membership.
I’ve traded my time for money for about the last 10-12 months copyrighting, content marketing, free traffic methods, commenting, finding that community and what not, and now I’m starting to put in more money in front of time by using Ads, leveraging CPA offers, and then fishing more in Facebook Ads, Google, Bing, Instagram, etc. I’ve already made my awareness on Facebook Ads, and now I’m adding more intent by using Google Ads. So,I’m gathering information, pixels to retarget later. Hopefully it gets me somewhere.

With drop shipping, you’re effectively partnering with a manufacturer or wholesaler to sell their products. This way, you don’t pay upfront costs to buy inventory, aren’t sitting on unsold items taking up expensive warehouse space, and don’t have to deal with shipping the products yourself. You simply create your site, fill it with drop shippable products, and drive in customers, with almost everything else done for you.
To create your own blog, you don’t even need a web domain. You can start a completely free blog on either WordPress or Blogger. Each of these sites has its ups and downs, but you can’t beat the price. You generally want to keep blog posts between 150-500 words until you have a few dozen under your belt. Links between your blog posts encourage people to stay on your blog once they find it, increasing traffic. Once your blog is up, promote it on social media for the greatest effect.

If you're interested in online marketing, setup email software and create a lead magnet that you can use in your sales funnel. Then, build up that list. It's often said that you can expect to earn about $1 per subscriber per month. If you have a list of 10,000 subscribers, that means you can earn roughly around $10,000 per month. You will need to deliver value and not pitch them on every email, but it is a very achievable goal in a short period.

I am a HUGE fan of the “freemium” business model. Wealthy Affiliate follows that model by offering a free membership account. The free membership gives you limited access in the Wealthy Affiliate dashboard. Some of your access lasts forever, such as some of the training videos and community features, while other features only last for a limited time, such as the live chat feature. Here is what you get with the free Wealthy Affiliate Membership:
If you’ve never heard of extreme couponing, check out this lifehack on the subject. Once you’re versed on the idea, what you have to do is a bit difficult at first, but it’s a great way to both save and make money: go to hip2save.com and get a feel for the types of deals that are out there (both online and in the physical world). Once you’re comfortable with the process, start searching for the best deals in grocery, retail, and online shopping. After a month or two of extreme couponing, you’ll have enough cleaning, hygiene, and food supplies stocked up to save a noticeable amount of money. Now maybe you don’t need to make as much…?
Free Training Across The Web – Believe it or not, most of the training I’ve received over the years are sources I’ve found for free all over the web. I’ve shared a LOT of that info with you on this very website through my nearly 500 blog posts (to date). However, you should also check out sources such as YouTube. It’s true, places such as YouTube are filled with scammers and spammers, but mixed within those are some gems. For example, you can look up keynote speeches on affiliate marketing from various conferences, such as Affiliate Summit speakers. Using free content from around the web is hard to sort out and make sense of, so it’s best to use a service like Wealthy Affiliate because you are able to learn the things you need to learn, in the order you need to learn them, without all the distractions. However, as you progress, you may need to learn something specific, at which point you can go to free sources across the web to learn as you need it.
Thank you very much, Craig, for this review! It is very honest- one of the best reviews of WA I’ve ever seen! I am also a member of WA for more then a year and I’m promoting WA on my site and I have only one premium member there- WA has become only a cost and burden for me. What do you recommend me to do with my site on which I’m promoting WA because it doesn’t bring me the money?
I hope you found thisWealthy Affiliate review to be helpful as I put a lot of time into this, but if I didn’t answer a question you have, feel free to comment below, and I will try to give you the best answer I can. The bottom line is, Wealthy Affiliate is the absolute best place I have ever seen to get the training and all the tools you’ll ever need in one place. Plus, if you sign up using my affiliate link, I will personally provide 1 on 1 coaching for you. At the very last, you should consider signing up for the free membership first and just see what you think. If you’re serious about growing an online business, my guess is you’ll be more than satisfied.

Once you’ve gathered a list, put together a template outreach email (as you’ll be doing this over and over) that’s short and clear with expectations. Tell your potential interviewee who you are, what your podcast is about, and what you’re asking of them. Do a few test interviews with friends and family to make sure everything is being recorded at the quality you want and then book your first episode.
This sounds like exactly what I am looking for, Tony. Yours is by far the best review of an affiliate opportunity that I have ever read — it has caught my attention and fired me up! I am a published audiobook narrator/independent publisher who writes my own marketing content 🙂 My goal (also with my audiobooks) is to build a strong residual income – and I came across your amazing review of WA through a search I conducted yesterday.
Want to know a little secret about this site? When I first started this site, I only planned on monetizing by selling my OWN affiliate marketer training course. About halfway through creating my course, I realized that I would never be able to provide the type of quality product I intended. Even if I could, it would become outdated so fast that in just a couple years, I wouldn’t be able to sell it anymore.

If you want the full story, you can check out my about me page (it’s a pretty cool story if I may say so myself). The short version is that I got started with affiliate marketing back in 2009 and was able to go full-time in 2011. I now own more than a dozen websites in several different niche industries. You can see a listing of most of my sites at RogersConcepts.com.
It is you who has to put hard work. Which in life is easy? This is freedom and financial freedom. It can never be cheap? It needs lots of passion and strict discipline for success. The training is excellent and there is help available always. This is probably one of the cheapest programs in In industry unless you bye pieces and do yourself. An 18-year-old guy has got >300 referrals and showed the amount he is making in 3 years.
I know for a fact that English is not the first language of my “sponsor” and got several automated messages from him. I actually challenged him at his own website about WA several weeks ago using my own name and any negative comment that I made have now been removed from his sales page. Direct messages sent to him can produce some interesting answers as he clearly does not understand English. So in conclusion, I have enjoyed most of my dealings related to WA, although they can become annoying at times. If anyone is gullible enough to part with their money to spend on such a charade, they only have themselves to blame. I just glad that I was never infected even though I thought about it once upon a time. Now I have no doubts and will continue with my own “proper job”. 😂
Find a profitable niche: We’ve talked about this a lot. But, where are you most comfortable. What niche do your skills, values, and interests intersect? Do you have 10 years of experience as a technical writer? Do you have long-standing PR relationships that’ll be invaluable in helping startups launch a successful crowdfunding campaign? Determine what makes your value unique, and lean heavily on showcasing that strength to your potential clients.
25. Products – You can create your own product, such as an ebook or computer software. You would then use your blog as a promotion tool to get people to buy your product. As long as you create a legitimate product with a whole lot of value, you should be able to get some buyers, but like everything else with a blog, you’ll need the traffic to get the sells.
I’ve left Wealthy Affiliate in January this year but I didn’t know that I have to transfer my sites before closing my paid membership and after that they didn’t want to give me access to WP- admin area of my sites and after a month they destroyed both of my sites. They didn’t want to give me technical data necessary for transferring my sites to hosting somewhere else. I also had one referral on WA and that person is still there but after leaving WA, I didn’t get my commissions. I had awful experience with them and I’ll never promote them again! Best regards!
Well after upsetting an “Ambassador” in live chat. I nave had my write access revoked by Admin in less than 24 hours of being a new member at Wealthy Affiliate. I cannot say that I’m disappointed as it was becoming quite tedious and stopping me from doing something more exciting. I can no longer edit my profile as Hugh Jarse or submit any new blog posts. However, I am still able to write and publish content at the free website. In any case, back to my proper job on Monday so no great loss. As far as I know the profile as I suspected will remain visible as they don’t want to be seen losing members.
WA is a bull shit program and I totally agreed with crajun.com. Most people are misled with WA pitch as Starter to make a crappy website in 30 seconds of going thru 10 lessons of training level # 1…. Then you have to buy the premium membership to have access to the lessons in training level 2 to continue in finishing your crappy website without any affiliate links added to it… to fill it with affiliate links from Amazon, Nike, Adidas… etc, you have to sign up for their affiliate programs, then wait and see if you get approved and most likely you will not get approved because your website has no traffic and has no links to your what they call a Niche. Because your niche is based on affiliate links… I am so glad I did not go for the premium…. it’s a waste of time and money….
Saw another “great tip” as a response to the same member from a guy who claims to rank very highly in the search engines. Apparently he does all his SEO work at around 3am when everyone else is sleeping. Just the image in my mind of him sneakily switching on his computer in order not to wake the rest of the world was enough to make me spill my sherbet all over the desk.
And while it will take time to build up a big-enough audience to attract advertisers and other ways to make extra income from your podcast, the opportunity is there. John Lee Dumas interviews entrepreneurs seven days a week for his podcast Entrepreneur on Fire and now makes more than $200,000 a month from it. In fact, John publishes all his income online and showed that he’s made almost $13 million since launching in 2012.
One of the reasons I like Wealthy Affiliate is because it enables me to provide this blog for free to people, but also be able to sell a genuinely high-quality product that I know is always updated and provides a better service than I ever could. Plus, when people sign up using my affiliate link, I can still provide one-on-one coaching and support as a way to add value and as a “thank you” for signing up using my link. Wealthy Affiliate truly is a win-win-win setup.
“I only ask you this because you made the above comment “there is no way you can use their hosting platform and WordPress installer to set up a successful site. There may be sites which are doing well on their platform, but they were built 6-8 years ago and are well indexed by now. Removing this from the equation significantly lessens the value of their membership.”

If you're not technically inclined at all, register your domain wherever you set up your hosting. Otherwise, you can save a few dollars by choosing a lower-cost provider. This is not a big deal for one or two sites, but it can be for 10 or 20. GoDaddy is a good option because it offers great domain management tools and at a low cost annually. One of the least expensive and reputable in the market is 1&1. Prices start at the low end of the spectrum for the first year with increases, sometimes significant for each subsequent year, depending on what plan you choose.

It doesn’t pay much, but if you’re a healthy person and want to make a bit of extra money online, the AchieveMint app will reward you for doing things like walking, tracking your food, or taking health surveys. AchieveMint works by connecting to fitness apps you might already be using like Fitbit, RunKeeper, Healthkit, and MyFitnessPal and then giving you points for certain actions. For every 10,000 points, you earn $10 with no limit on your earnings.
Sound advice indeed Craig. Not sure if you or anyone else has mentioned all the content added by member’s of WA to their blogs all goes towards higher ranking in Google for the WA website. Pick any example of text from any blog, search in Google and guess which site is at the top! More potential clients for WA. I signed up with them several months ago and have remained a free member. After many attempts to get me to go premium they extended the discount offer for the first month indefinitely. I still receive many email notifications from them containing info about new blog posts by their member’s. Seems most of them are dedicated to religion so not really surprising that they keep plodding on with no success. They already have the “faith” mentality.
The power of convincing is defined by your article, I found it very interesting in the many point mention with Wealthy Affiliate. I don’t really think people really don’t understand the power this community can change lives. You are a prime example based on your success report and the affiliate income report that anyone can achieve in owning their own business. I very encourage by your article it has made me think a little harder about what can I do to have my own success story and the answer is Wealthy Affiliate stick with it. I wish you greater success Tony and Thanks again for powerful article!
