I first joined Wealthy Affiliate in June of 2016 mostly to just see what it was all about. I signed up for a free account at Wealthy Affiliate but upgraded to their paid Premium membership the very next day. After 7 months at Wealthy Affiliate, I decided it was finally time to write a Wealthy Affiliate review with my findings on whether this is a good program to sign up with or not.

Don’t be fooled by that. If you mention that you are thinking about going premium but need time to think, they will extend that offer indefinitely. However, I think if you have already read many of the comments here, you wold go for the sensible option and save your money. Hosting a website with your own domain name is very cheap these days. All other services you will get from WA is available totally free if you bother to look for it.
The 1.4 million members figure doesn’t even make any sense. If WA had 1.4 million active users it would be totally unusable. The “classrooms” there would just be far too busy to keep track of. And aren’t all members automatically set to follow Kyle? According to his WA profile, he has 365,319 friends. So there are 1,034,681 members that don’t follow Kyle?
your trying to get honest signups with a deceptive fake landing page.I’m sure Kyle and Carson would be real impressed since one of their main guidelines is to help people with their problems. Truth and honesty i would assume are looked upon as a lower level tactic for gaining peoples trust. Is it safe to assume that this is the way they promote Wealthy Affiliate? I’m just curious if that’s part of the training that the Wealthy Affiliate Platform is built on .I mean if the purpose of Wealthy Affiliates training is to entice with and offer from a fake review page. Then hell just take em right from the landing page directly to the sales page since your already lying to them anyway why not see if we can’t sell em something else.Seems like if were not helping them solve a problem we may as well milk as much money as we can can because as soon as they figure out we just conned em. I’m sure they will hurry back to buy more junk.

Please help. I turn 15 in a few weeks and live in WA and the whole state has labor laws where I have to be 16 but I really want to get a dirt bike this summer. It’s hard to find a job and everbody mows there own lawns! What should I do? How do I tell the difference between a real site that will pay for suveys and a fake one? Is it possible to make 3000 in 15 weeks?
I also started an e-commerce retail site that I went with another company on and it ended up costing me thousands of dollars, held all the so-called training over the phone for 30 minutes that they rushed through, the only writing training instructions were very generic and general in terms. I am still with them since I had a year. I have 4 months to go and can’t wait to move my DNS over to WA! It is difficult to get questions answered and have to wait until whenever they got around to returning a call. They complete the basic website framework for you and it looks like someone still learning to be a designer did it! I paid monthly for hosting, which alone is as much as WA’s fee for everything, paid separate for social media marketing training, which was next to nothing. In general their training platform was the pits!
A few of the things that I really love about WA are the fact that you can connect and get help very easily. I also enjoy using their SiteRubix platform, it is very easy to build websites and I come from a Joomla background and I most likely won’t be going back. It is too simple and feature rich to use the website builder and all of the extra tools that one with it.
This is the bait-and-switch that Wealthy Affiliate pulls on new members. It is called WEALTHY Affiliate, wealthy being a synonym of RICH. So, everyone who signs up is indeed hoping to be shown how to make a lot of money, then they get told: sorry, don’t expect to get rich any time soon. It’s kind of like signing up to Weight Watchers and then being told, “It’s going to take you ages to lose weight. You’ll probably stay overweight for a long time. But since you’re here, why don’t you pass the time by chatting to the other overweight people.”
Hi and thanks for sharing your experiences with Wealthy Affiliate. I agree with your points about the great coaching and the huge value for money that they offer you is unbeatable. They give you such a great confidence that they can teach you to be a successful affiliate marketer, and the community style support you have access to is truly a special benefit. Thanks again, Kenny
Once you are all set up, Live Ops has an excellent online training program that teaches you how to handle calls from customers. You will be taking calls for many different companies. When you start working, your phone will ring and a script will pop up on your screen. You simply read the script word for word and input customer information as you go along. If customers have questions, there is a section on your screen with FAQ’s and you are also logged into a virtual chat room should you need to ask for support from a supervisor.
I appreciate that you recognize that WA is not a scam and definitely provides what is necessary to teach individuals how to create an website for their business and more. I also agree that in their promotion, WA makes it seems to easy, when in fact it requires much hard work. One has to have the desire to work hard to build a business, no matter if it’s brick and mortar or an online business.
The problem with that platform is they yes you’re correct, make it look so easy but it’s actually hard to rank and stay in the competition, are you creative, does your content have exciting captivating information or is it just education and knowledge? Speak to your audience like you’d have a one on one conversation with somebody else, that’s how content should be and truly picking real facts that help people with a problem they’re having, on average one article or post takes a few days to a week to publish.

The cost of this course is $17.00 and it comes with my No Questions Asked Money Back Guarantee.   There are some free sites where you can get started if you have no money at all, but I don’t recommend them.  Most people will set up a hosted blog or website that will cost between $7 and $10 a month for hosting.  There are also a few tools I recommend that you may want in invest in –but those can wait until you are generating enough income to cover the cost.
I stumble upon a roadblock signing up as an affiliate for Amazon. On step 3 they ask for a number for verification. They are restricted from making calls to the Phils for verification. I thought of using a Google voice number (US based). Will that help? I don’t want to try until I am sure for fear of getting rejected even before I start. Or what do you suggest? I tried a live chat with Amazon and all the CS said was yeah no call verification for a Philippine number. appreciate your help. Thank you.

Unbelievable. Well It’s just as believeable which ever way you look at it, so much deception it feels like. And I do get a feeling that these are just automated responses from fake people at times, not like I’m saying it’s true but some of these responses I receive in a comment I would rather not even bother replying back to sometimes. It’s likee you get a third of everything…1/3 beginners feeling happy for an accomplishment share, 1/3 for keep staying motivated and the 1/3 need help…but they’re never centered on how to really do it because it’s the beginners telling beginners what to do, or people who are “experts” spitting out the same over and over info.

I have seen Amazon affiliate sites that were so poorly done they made nothing or maybe were lucky to earn $20 to $30 per month.  And I have seen some that make well over $1000 per month.  But if you speak with experienced Amazon affiliates they will tell you that the average is probably somewhere around $300 to $500 month, per site, which is why most of the pros have ten or more sites.
The community is positive and I see help being offered 24/7 at least she tried to help you. With that statment the readers will know we try to help with every question asked. The program is built around helping real people build a real business I am a member and I could say Im not dumb for becomming one. I Have been around  the online marketing business for eight years.
WordPress comes free with cpanel which incidentally, Kyle at WA told me is outdated. I purchased a reseller account from Greengeeks which will host unlimited websites. Each domain has an independent cpanel which includes a load of free software (including WordPress) All this for only 20 Dollars/month. I recently built a dozen websites all with WordPress using that account. I think it could be done even cheaper if you shop around but I’m really happy with the service I get and no need to change. If you only want one website a cpanel platform from Greengeeks will cost you around 4 USD/month if you pay in advance. Of course you don’t get the “community” that comes with WA but you don’t get the brainwashing or stupid restrictions either.
Not to mentioned the support you can get from experts, the 10,000’s of conversations that you can take part in, and a great deal of training to get you rolling with your business. It is going to get you rolling, and of course, if you want to take your business more seriously and access the key to the community, there is the Premium membership there for that. But you decide. We can assure you that the Starter membership (which is free) is better than anything else in the industry…let alone the Premium service.
Rent out a room on Airbnb. Living near a tourist area has its perks, including the prospect of renting out a room for a profit. With home sharing sites like Airbnb, you can rent out a room in your home – or even the entire place – for a day, a week, or longer. If you have extra space and might enjoy the company of travelers, renting out a room is great way to earn some extra money with little effort on your part. See our post, “How to Make Money as an AirBNB Host.”
Hi Craig – Correct me if I am wrong, but your information about not being able to access your website after going Premium is also misleading. Your domain name is your own and you can move it to any other hosting company. When you quit your hosting from any company — including Wealthy Affiliate — of course you can no longer access your site from there. You make it sound like your site is “lost” or somehow WA makes it “disappear” when in fact all you need to do is pay someone else to host it and move your domain. You will pay for hosting no matter what, it is often $25+ per month for not even as many features as are offered by Wealthy Affiliate. This means that for an additional $25 you can access on-going training on SEO updates, social media, and other necessary services. This seems like a deal to me. Yes, Wealthy Affiliate makes it sound easier than it is to get to the money, but I would rather that people figure out that they are not willing to do the work for a $49 loss than for a $300-$1000+ loss as is the cost of other programs.

Manage social media for businesses. If you have a knack for social media, you could potentially get paid to manage various platforms for others. Many businesses are too busy running day-to-day operations to stay on top of their Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest accounts – and will pay someone with the knowledge and time to do it for them. To find these jobs, ask local businesses and check sites like UpWork.com and Problogger.net.

These classes are typically run by Jay, one of the top experts within the WA community but there have been guest experiences by Kyle and others over the years. There is a live chat and a full question and answer period with every live class. Each live class is usually around 1.5 hours in length and the replays will be available to you the next day (along with 100’s of hours of past live classes).
Two questions: 1). Can I make any money off the “starter kit”? Yes or no, please. I’ve seen others ask this question and the (non)answers are always the same. No one has ever come right out and said ‘Yes. You can absolutely make money once you get your website set up and start getting traffic!’ Or ‘No. The free stuff just gets you set up. You have to join and pay us 49 bucks faithfully every month before you can get any clickable links from us. Most answer this question by providing you with a link to sign up. In other words. I can dance around you and dazzle you with bullshit forever, but I will not give you an answer until you spent weeks—May, months—tooling around trying to figure it all out, just to realize that no, you don’t earn a single dime until you ante up, because hey, ya gotta spend money to make money, right?? And, besides, why would I train you to be my competitor, hand you the Keys To The Kingdom, give you a piece of MY pie, for nothing? That’s just not a good business model. For me, anyway.’
Whatever you choose to do with this monetization and marketing technique, take time to plan your strategy. While it is very easy to get started and to add Amazon affiliate links to WordPress, the key to success is in how well you execute those links and promote them to your visitors. Affiliate marketing takes time to excel at, so be patient and don't give up!
I repeatedly asked, in the general forum, for help on finding out how to do what I was led there to do. I had NO interest in creating a Wordpress blog page that would promote Wealthy Affiliates. And yet, this was all they seemed to cover. I kept asking questions and received several responses to just go through the training. For what? To buy into the gimmick? Tell me EXACTLY which training of the 10 to go to so that I don't waste my time. After all, you're selling yourself to me for me to buy into your membership at some point.

This is a comprehensive and detailed review and everything you have said about wealthyaffiliate is right. The thing is that making money online is not a one-day thing but would need consistent effort in order to succeed. For newbies, training would be needed for you to know exactly what you are doing and even for experts to get additional up to date information which is why wealthyaffiliate is a good place to get these information from. Their teachings are simplified so anyone and consider and the platform contains almost everything you need to build your online business from the ground up.
(next to homeless, but when I chose to put my change , at the corner store, into a machine, I won. Ran to get a mobile phone and service, signed up for task apps and searched to find that online path..thay search introduced me to WA and the fun idea of my winning my opportunity lol sounded fun to me. Haha..) I wish I had read your information prior to purchasing 2 domain names.but cant pass up an opportunity tio share , just in case theres someone who can relate to the good point you made Regarding those of us who have less , at the moment. WA can add to your knowledge, howrver, things dont move any faster with premiun membersgip, so, I agree on holding back.before making that purchase. Because it doesnt feel all that wonderful when you purchase a domain, only to lose it. Its harder to get into the “better to have loved and lost than…” theme when it concerns the loss of your “online real estate. Anyhow thank you for the information, it helps me to feel less of the “coulda woulda shoulda’s. (Ha)
Premium Membership includes unlimited live chat and private messaging with Kyle, Carson and any other members within community. With the Premium Membership, you can choose Wealthy Affiliate as your niche, which has a very rewarding commission structure and additional training.
Now may I know if you ever heard about shopmozo.co I’m a member of this new-launched e-commerce site (but didn’t purchase the referral rights). They offer one-time membership but with too much upselling. It seems promising though and I want to recommend it to friends but I am thinking twice if it is worth it. Also because all the reviews I read about it are from affiliates.
I see a few complaints here and I actually did the same sort of research before joining Wealthy Affiliate.  I even remember reading a report like this.   What I did find is that it was easy to make a decision on whether or not to try it after reading mostly positive reviews and reading a few negative reviews on here from what appears to be competitors and those that maybe had a bad experience for one reason or another.  I see some said their write access was cut off and I think that can happen if you get reported for spamming others within the community.  There is no spam allowed at WA which is nice.

Good news is, Wealthy Affiliate goes on to say that within the first few lessons you’re going to learn the techniques that will allow you to get an abundance, no wait…ABUNDANCE of relevant customers to your site by way of organic search. Most folks reading this have no idea just how difficult this is. If you know how to do it, then it’s mainly just hard work, but for those of you that don’t understand the process…you’re in for a long education full of trial and error.

On WA coaching material there is no separate indexing of the "lessons".  A point missed can be found again but not by going through any master index which would be crossreferencing ideas & locations...thus depriving us of a a way to get back to where ideas are first presented in the training. Without that we are forced to stumble through videos again and again which is very frustrating & time consuming activity or we must ask people instead. This flaw in the training presentation makes me wonder if the clumsier and slower learning which might result...is as "rewarding" to the CEO (in the form of longer lasting subscriptions) as is is "punishing" to the member?
Tutor kids in a subject that you’re an expert at if you like teaching. Think about the classes you do best in at school or the topics you know a lot about. Help out your peers or teach younger kids who want to get a head start before the next school year. Put up fliers around your neighborhood or school with the topics you’re tutoring, the cost, and what services you offer.
The support in there is really hit and miss, which can be a bummer, as the quality of response you receive can vary greatly depending upon who replies, and it’s seldom you’ll get much from either of the head muckity mucks. They profess to be active in the community chat, but often times it’s a lot of “hey, great job…keep up the good work and you’ll be making money in no time” kind of fluff. Be prepared to do some Googling when you have a question.
As someone who has years of experience doing lead generation on a local blog. Getting enough “traffic” for an affiliate site is damn hard. Over the past couple of years, an injury to my foot has left me slightly disabled. Affiliate marketing makes sense for someone like me with prior blogging experience who now has limitations. I will start with one niche and add another site later. I’m hoping to see good results in within about 18 months. But that’s only because I know how to do a lot of things and I know what’s involved. You have to write consistently, work your SEO, pick your poison in social media and be engaged in it. It’s a lot of hard WORK. I feel sorry for anyone who got their site shut down because they didn’t know how to transfer their site to another host. That’s terrible.
Ray, As Malcolm pointed out, WordPress hosting simply means the servers have been optimized for the platform. WordPress can require a little extra care to improve its security and performance, but most any shared hosting plan can accommodate it. If I were to recommend one budget host it would be SiteGround. You can set up a few installs on one of their basic plans and support is quite good. If you’re serious and willing to spend a bit more, Flywheel is a fantastic option from a performance, security and support standpoint, but you’d be limited to one site. My 2 cents.
Wealthy Affiliate is also very strict on spam, which in the end is a GOOD thing, but I have to be careful sometimes about promoting my sites or referencing them. Sometimes I do have valuable information on my site that I think could help people during live chat sessions or Q&A’s, but I don’t share because I don’t want it to look like I’m spamming. They do allow people to promote their sites in certain areas, but in order to keep the community from filling up with self-promotion spam, there are times when it is best not to share certain information from outside sources, especially my own sites.

Product Linking > Native Shopping Ads: Let’s say you’ve written a review about a new hair product. If you want additional money-making opportunities from this despite only recommending a single product, you can add native shopping ads to the end of your content. Think of them like related post content, except it’s a banner that promotes other Amazon products.
I have been with WA 2 years this month and I wouldn’t look back, the knowledge and financial freedom I have gained is a credit to the platform set up by WA. Some people say how $49 is too much a month however when you consider what’s included like hosting, training, great community, tools and more I would argue that they set the price to low as there is alot of value.
In the Institute's submissions on the foreign affiliate reporting rules, we have emphasized three broad taxpayer goals for the legislation: The rules must be administrable; they should avoid imposing substantial new reporting burdens where the information is generally available on audit; and finally, appropriate relief provisions are necessary because no matter how fair and well-crafted the rules, unique facts and circumstances exist (or will arise) that will preclude some taxpayers from fully complying with the requirements.
I agree with all the points you have mentioned. Talking about zero upsells, for instance, the best thing online, is setting aside a budget, and being able to respect that budget without exploding it. This is the amazing part about Wealthy Affiliate. You can plan 2,3,or even 4 years in advance and that budget will still be very relevant and applicable.
The problem with WA is… they don’t put their members through any sort of review process before they let them set off into the world of internet marketing. Sure, they do provide the resources and coaching needed to make it in IM, but they also do a good job of making it sound so easy. I feel like a lot of folks sign up thinking it’s going to be a convenient way to generate income once they know how to post a blog, install a few plugins in WordPress, and get their affiliate links added.

Good comment Jason, at some time in the future Amazon may decide they have so much market share they don't need affiliates anyway. I mean, if you're just sending them people who are already Amazon customers there's not so much benefit there for them. Or they may decide to only work with select HIGH QUALITY affiliates and the average "affiliate site" owner will not be chosen.

I used to have fun doing surveys while I watched TV. I was choosy about the companies I used and I never paid to sign up for any. I got about $25 in free BlockBuster movie coupons, cashed out about $25 from another site and did an in house project trial where a company sent me to full size body lotions to use and record information about. I had fun, felt like my input was improving the business world, but I wasn’t looking to get rich quick, just earn a little bit in time that typically wasted. Some survey companies pay very little, others pay better. Of course, it is not fair to the businesses conducting the research to lie in order to qualify for a survey and they certainly deserve honest and thoughtful answers to their questions. The companies I worked with told me how much the survey would pay and how long it would it would take. Research for the reputable companies.

And I’m not the only one. More people than ever are succeeding with Wealthy Affiliate. Most people who join don’t even promote Wealthy Affiliate at all. Instead, Wealthy Affiliate teaches you how to promote any number of products or services across the web in just about any niche. If you do want to promote Wealthy Affiliate, by all means, it’s a great affiliate program that can easily earn you a full-time living! Here’s the last paycheck I received from Wealthy Affiliate. The amount is actually higher than what is posted in the chart above due to some yearly subscriptions and a few other things that I got paid extra for.

One thought would be to dispute any credit card payments to WA you may have made where you feel they did not provide the service promised. I believe you may have up to 180 days to make a dispute. Your credit card company will handle the dispute on your behalf and make a determination. I’m not an expert or lawyer but you may be able to get the month’s payment back where they shut your promised services out. Just a thought. Good luck!
Grow plants, herbs, or vegetables to sell if you have a green thumb. If your parents let you plant your own garden in the backyard, opt for easy-to-grow vegetables like lettuce, tomatoes, or cucumbers. If you will be growing your plants inside in pots, choose ones that don’t require a lot of sunlight or space. Pick your vegetables when they’re ripe and sell them in bags or plastic containers.[5]
With Wealthy Affiliate they have so many multiple streams of income to where their money comes in from- the hosting, the referral program, jaaxy, the premium accounts, the illusions of all the community help that is spectacular, the writing of reviews that will promote WA and make them stand out in search engines, and social media, etc. I mean, the goal is to first help people and then make money in the process, but many of these people fail at #2. What the heck should I be writing content for to just make it a hobby and never get payed for? It’s more so a waste of my time, and I’d be crazy.
First off, I’m a blogger so it seems wrong not to mention it, but more importantly, it’s a legitimate way to make money. It’s quite possibly the least straight-forward way on this list, but it’s very doable and it’s also quite possibly the funnest way on this list. I love blogging and I know hundreds of bloggers who feel the same. So let’s talk about making money blogging and what it really means.
27. Sponsored/paid posts – Many blogs publish sponsored and paid posts. Sponsored posts are basically just posts about a specific brand, product or service. A company will pay you to publish an article about it. It’s similar with other paid posts as well. Your basically selling the spot for the article on your site. If you decide to take this route, you’ll want to build your traffic before you will get many offers.
Throw a bake sale if you like to cook. Choose classic recipes that are easy to make in big batches like chewy chocolate chip cookies, fudgy brownies, or vanilla cupcakes. Once you bake everything, separate your goodies into individual servings and place them in pretty packages like treat bags tied with ribbons. Set up a stand in your front yard or out on the street corner to get more traffic.
22. Advertising – This is definitely the most old-school way of earning money with a blog. It’s also starting to become the least common way. You can sell advertising spots directly on your site or you can sign up with a company like Google AdSense or Media.net. Either way, you won’t see a whole lot of money from ads until your views are well into the thousands each day.
Really don't understand this guy. He wanted help with his site so he goes into it trying to get free help by joining the free trial meant for begginers wanting to try Wealthy Affiliate. So when he gets in there it sounded like he was rude to the people trying to give him advice pertaining to the question(s) he was asking. If he knew everything he claimed he knew he should have went for the paid membership that gave him access to much more that he could have went through himself. But because he didn't get his questions anwered he thought to make Wealthy Affiliate pay by writing it on Ripoff report. The guy sounds bendictive an imature which probably shows in his website.

People are always looking to have their cars washed and detailed. You could be a mobile car washer and detailer without having a permanent location. Reach out to people you know or make some flyers and put it in your neighbors' mailboxes. If you want to get serious about it, prop up a one-page website or give out business cards. You can make money quickly doing this.
