Yep, I agree with what Anusuya Choudhury said. Many people are looking for easy $$$$ and fall for the promise to make lots of money. But can you blame WA for that? They explicitly tell everywhere in the training that you have to work hard to achieve any success. The sky is a limit. And that limit is you. So, you don’t have to give a negative review just because someone did not hand you everything on the plate without hard work. You can’t just be so negative because your level of expertise is high and WA couldn’t give you what you were looking for. Support is amazing there. Not everyone is a tech like you. But they can start and learn from 0 on WA platform. Writers, cooks, motivational speakers – they all can surpass you and generate tones of money just following their passion. You are affiliate yourself. So, it doesn’t matter where you get your knowledge as long as it works for you.
However…if you want to be a successful affiliate, don’t pick a broad and flooded vertical like ‘make money online’; instead, choose a niche you’re passionate about. This can be something you already know a lot about, or it can be a topic or product which you’d like to pursue. Either way, it has to be something you’re excited to work on and it has to offer value.
This is a tough one to answer. On one hand, yes, they do provide some adequate training in the way of affiliate marketing and WordPress site management, but it’s a little self-serving. They really tout their platform as a magic bullet solution for IM, but it’s not. They’re also quick to suggest WA as a good affiliate marketing niche, but that is a definite NO.
The thing that I really like about WA is that even though I feel I have some good experience now (not an expert yet!), I realize that I can get help from someone with more skills and knowledge than I have at any time. There are experts within WA, many with MUCH more experience than I have that I lean on for support and to advance my own personal skills.
Analytics are limited. Unlike with conversions made directly on your WordPress site, you’ll be limited in terms of what you can learn about the people making purchases through your affiliate links. While Amazon does provide you with details about clicks and sales, you won’t get deep insights into who the consumer was and what they did on your site before they got to that point that you would with Google Analytics.
One of the reasons I like Wealthy Affiliate is because it enables me to provide this blog for free to people, but also be able to sell a genuinely high-quality product that I know is always updated and provides a better service than I ever could. Plus, when people sign up using my affiliate link, I can still provide one-on-one coaching and support as a way to add value and as a “thank you” for signing up using my link. Wealthy Affiliate truly is a win-win-win setup.
18. CraigsList – Some things don’t ship very well. Other things may make you feel uncomfortable to sell to someone across the country. Anytime you’re selling a large item or something you just don’t want to ship, Craigslist is a great place to go. It’s simple to list your item (again, take good pictures!). If you don’t like the idea of putting your phone number out there, the interested individual can send you a message to your inbox without even getting your email address.
So very true and your attitude will take you a long ways within the internet world. 6-7 figures (assuming you are not already making that) will be your reality if you continue to focus on advancing your business, and your website…as well as your skill set. There is a plethora of very skilled marketers and business owners within Wealthy Affiliate that are actively helping others every single second within Wealthy Affiliate, there simply is not a more caring, yet more comprehensive and technically advanced platform in the industry.
I’ve traded my time for money for about the last 10-12 months copyrighting, content marketing, free traffic methods, commenting, finding that community and what not, and now I’m starting to put in more money in front of time by using Ads, leveraging CPA offers, and then fishing more in Facebook Ads, Google, Bing, Instagram, etc. I’ve already made my awareness on Facebook Ads, and now I’m adding more intent by using Google Ads. So,I’m gathering information, pixels to retarget later. Hopefully it gets me somewhere.
I achieved what I set out to do and found out that Wealthy Affiliate have not published any cancellation policy other than a couple of lines in the “terms and conditions” A bit poor if you ask me, I would have thought it was a legal requirement with such a company. Additionally there is no refund policy as far as I know either. I’m sure they haven’t overlooked this due to their past experiences with the legal system.
As a current member of WA I can attest to everything that TeamAMR has outlined here. I was skeptical at first, even when I first signed up, I did not engage but instead I was taking my time poking, sniffing around. Once I started reading the blogs, the comments I decided to take the plunge and begin the training. Now I’m a WA junkie, every time I see a member post a success story, I become more committed to my goal and work even harder. If you are skeptical, it surely is understandable but sign up and snoop around like I first did and don’t be afraid and you will soon see that WA is legitimate and genuine.
Get back to class! This is something we never liked to hear in high school, but when it comes to building a business online, it is always nice to have current, live and interactive training you can take part in. Every Friday there is a live class that you can take part in as a Premium member of Wealthy Affiliate. Here are a few of the recent ones.
2. People Buy More than One Item the great thing about Amazon is that you dont just earn a commission on the product that you send people to, but anything that they buy once theyre at Amazon. You earn a commission on anything a person buys within 24 hours of you sending them to Amazon. One out of every four shoppers buys more than one item per session.

It was a bit of fun fo a while Marcus but I must admit that I got bored with “The Community” and deliberately engineered my ejection from it. The whole process took a matter of minutes after I got into a live chat and dared them to chuck me out. It was then that I had my wrist slapped for disrespecting a so called “Ambassador”. What a joke! I stated that I have no respect for authority in the real world so that little group meant nothing to me and I would say whatever I like. Didn’t take long for one of them to report me to their god and I then got an on screen message to inform me that Admin had revoked my write access. Really did me a favour as I don’t think it would’ve taken long for real insults to start flying. Some of the long term members there seem to be badly infected with the WA bug and have serious delusions of grandeur. I noticed that a lot have psychological problems and other illnesses which prevent them from having a “proper job” and are not shy to share their personal problems with fellow members.
Thanks for this very true review. I just canceled WA after about five months with them. I started to smell BS and how dated the training was. I am grateful for learning a bit of stuff because I was a beginner. After canceling, you can not get access as a free member. I will not be back and warn anyone looking into it. It is way to pricey, and their websites are not anywhere close to competing with other websites out here. If you were a real beginner, then do it for two months. Learn the knowledge and apply it somewhere else.
Some useful advice there Marcus. It really is easy for anyone to set up a blog these days and there are many platforms to choose from. Of course WordPress itself is probably the most popular and not difficult to understand. I recently set up a few just for the backlink value and found that Strikingly was probably the most straightforward to set up. As I linked to my regular blog it was listed in Google within a few days. Totally free and as good if not better than the free websites that are dished out by WA. If you feel the need for community support, there are many groups on Facebook that won’t cost you a cent!
On WA coaching material there is no separate indexing of the "lessons". A point missed can be found again but not by going through any master index which would be crossreferencing ideas & locations...thus depriving us of a a way to get back to where ideas are first presented in the training. Without that we are forced to stumble through videos again and again which is very frustrating & time consuming activity or we must ask people instead. This flaw in the training presentation makes me wonder if the clumsier and slower learning which might result...is as "rewarding" to the CEO (in the form of longer lasting subscriptions) as is is "punishing" to the member?
Feed and take care of your neighbors’ pets while they’re out of town. Pet sitting is just like babysitting but for animals. If you’re comfortable with animals, let your neighbors know that you’re available to watch their pets when they go away. Always respect their rules and ask ahead of time if you have any questions about the care instructions.
Mimi, I am really sorry for what happenned to you on WA. I was premium member on WA for a year and a half and at the end they didn’t want to give me all technical data necessary to transfer my sites to hosting somewhere else. It doesn’t matter if you are payed member or not- they are only interested to take money from you. Kyle and Carson are online scams!
I also see that they are very heavy on people just re-adding for them (WA) and I see that most sites created by WA members are bland repeat-a-phones about personal health & well-being including of course working on your hobby and making money from it through ads for WA. and affiliate sales. My site was about recovering from smoking addictions through my own phone coaching (and knowledge of addictions), and after 3 months and no clients I passed out some real business cards and then cancelled my sub to WA and then discovered that I could not get back into WA even though I still have paid membership time left...and also discovered that even though the site will still show up for 30 more days, without being able to get into the administration area, I'm not sure I can even transfer the site to another host and domain name. I feel as if my intellectual property might be in the process of being stolen.
I have seen Amazon affiliate sites that were so poorly done they made nothing or maybe were lucky to earn $20 to $30 per month. And I have seen some that make well over $1000 per month. But if you speak with experienced Amazon affiliates they will tell you that the average is probably somewhere around $300 to $500 month, per site, which is why most of the pros have ten or more sites.
My name is Nathaniell and you found WA through my site. I remember the comment you left, and I specifically told you to contact me within the website because the basic training did not apply to you and I could find you training that would be more suitable to your needs. I guess you didn't read the response, because you went ahead and went through the training anyway.
This is like a free graduate level college course every month available just for the reading. And unlike most college professors, these guys and gals are actually earning in the real world. Michelle made well over a million USD last year from mainly affiliate programs,AFTER she paid her running expenses and US taxes. She sure didn't do it by reviewing bicycle pedals 😉
