Your WA review is by far the best one I’ve seen and it helped me to decide not to re new either so Thanks! One thing that drove me nuts was that any time I would enter my site dot com I could never reach my site from ANY device ( cell phone or computer) and would simply see an error message. Yet if I clicked on the link to my site from WA’s control panel I’d reach the site. This use to drive me crazy! I had no plug ins on my site yet and my upline the aforementioned One more cup of Coffee dude said he had no clue and suggested typing /wp-login.php after dot com to see if that would work. I asked why in the world would I have to add /wp-login.php or expect anybody else to do that when going to my site?
Glad to come across your block, I ‘m impressed by the content. I am still a beginner in IM industry. I ‘m trying to get more understanding about WA before I really feel confident enough to join. I. have some questions about WA . I’ll appreciate very much if you can spare sometime to provide me with the answers. These questions may look funny to an IM expert, but they are really questions to me and need to be clarifiedbefore I do anything further.
Become a proofreader. All kinds of businesses hire professional proofreaders to look over their copy and content for errors before they publish. This side hustle is one that could work for nearly anyone since you can work from home provided you have a computer and an internet connection. You can find online proofreading jobs through websites like Indeed.com and FlexJobs.com
As a current member of WA I can attest to everything that TeamAMR has outlined here.  I was skeptical at first, even when I first signed up, I did not engage but instead I was taking my time poking, sniffing around.  Once I started reading the blogs, the comments I decided to take the plunge and begin the training.  Now I’m a WA junkie, every time I see a member post a success story, I become more committed to my goal and work even harder.  If you are skeptical, it surely is understandable but sign up and snoop around like I first did and don’t be afraid and you will soon see that WA is legitimate and genuine.

I was a member of Wealthy Affiliate for 2.5 years. I made a little bit of money through my own niches, but nowhere near enough to justify the work I put into it. I did the bootcamp course and made some money referring other people to WA, but I did so mainly by churning out fake negative reviews of competing products, which is the direction that the bootcamp course leads you in. The whole setup of the bootcamp course is bullshit. It teaches clueless newbies to shout out to the world that WA is the best way to make money online, all before they even know whether this is true or not.
The ONLY way you will make money is by creating a 'practice' blog page (which becomes your sole purpose) that markets your affiliation with Wealthy Affiliates! In fact, so MANY pages have been created for this purpose that their SEO is AMAZING! It's genius really! They made it so that even if you look up complaints you will be hard pressed to find me, and instead only sites that are cronies just promoting themselves. It's the worst case of writing reviews for yourself that I've ever seen.
Hi, I joined Wealthy Affiliate several years ago for a very short period of time. I needed to earn money quickly and didn’t have enough knowledge to know that creating a business took much time. I couldn’t afford to continue with the program. My priorities have changed and God has blessed me enough that I am now able to afford the program. I would like to re-join with the monthly plan for a couple of months before I take the yearly plunge. Am I able to get the $19.00 first month fee or do I have to start at $49.00?

One thought would be to dispute any credit card payments to WA you may have made where you feel they did not provide the service promised. I believe you may have up to 180 days to make a dispute. Your credit card company will handle the dispute on your behalf and make a determination. I’m not an expert or lawyer but you may be able to get the month’s payment back where they shut your promised services out. Just a thought. Good luck!
My second question is this; who gets my 49 bucks every month? If this isn’t a form of MLM, what would YOU call it? If it quacks like a duck… I suspect my recruiter gets a piece, his/her recruiter gets a piece, and so on up the line, but you try billing ( bulling?) yourselves as affiliates, so you claim that, as an affiliate, WA is one of the niche markets you are promoting. Only your “commission” is really residual income, because you’re gonna get it from me month after month until I wise up and decide to join under you to get my own little spot in your pyramid. Sorry for the long rant. If you’d just answered ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to begin with, my fingers wouldn’t be so tired…and that is a half hour of my life that I will never get back!

This is a very good question, but it may be better answered if I used it as a new post topic. I need to get back into some sort of routine here anyway, and I am not going to renew my WA membership when it expires tomorrow. I still it can a decent value, but if anyone is really serious about trying to do something in IM, I feel there are better options.

On WA coaching material there is no separate indexing of the "lessons".  A point missed can be found again but not by going through any master index which would be crossreferencing ideas & locations...thus depriving us of a a way to get back to where ideas are first presented in the training. Without that we are forced to stumble through videos again and again which is very frustrating & time consuming activity or we must ask people instead. This flaw in the training presentation makes me wonder if the clumsier and slower learning which might result...is as "rewarding" to the CEO (in the form of longer lasting subscriptions) as is is "punishing" to the member?

If you want the full story, you can check out my about me page (it’s a pretty cool story if I may say so myself). The short version is that I got started with affiliate marketing back in 2009 and was able to go full-time in 2011. I now own more than a dozen websites in several different niche industries. You can see a listing of most of my sites at RogersConcepts.com.

Thanks for your insights. It is unfortunate that some companies/people behave like this, but in this industry there are a lot of unethical folks. Fortunately now that you are part of WA, you are part of the most trusted, ethical, forward thinking, and community focused platform in the industry. You are not going to regret your decision to make Wealthy Affiliate your home.
I’ve noticed that a lot of people who sign up for Wealthy Affiliate are those who are in dire need of financial help. They may have lost a job or may have suffered some other financial setback such as medical issues. The thing is, there’s no reason these people should stay away from Wealthy Affiliate, but many of them have this expectation that they can create a full-time income in a matter of weeks or even a few months. That is NOT the case. Remember, it takes an average business 3 years to profit. Fortunately, it will not take that long with an online business, but it will take considerable time and effort. If you need an income source fast, Wealthy Affiliate is not the place to provide that. Instead, Wealthy Affiliate teaches you how to build a real, sustainable online business over a period of time that will also last a long time.

Hi Andrew, I have also been following the YouTube videos presented by Income School. These guys are genuinely nice guys and they really do have the stuff to back up their claims. I have actually been considering a registration with them. They have been building passive income sites for years now and I believe that when they say that they guide you to do exactly as they do – and have done for years now – one has the confidence that they will deliver on their promise.
I have been following the video’s on Youtube involving Income school, and i am quite astonished at the information that the 2 founders have compiled and are freely showing. They are displaying some really good advice and facts, backed up by actual evidence that i think that anyone serious about learning internet marketing should have a look at. When you see what they have to offer i think you will be quite surprised. The best part about it is that there are 2 actual live persons that you can see and hear and not just a voice behind a microphone .
1. Yes, you don’t need to know a thing about affiliate marketing. In fact, if you have not been predisposed to training already sometimes that can be a good thing. There is a lot of misinformation out there about affiliate marketing, which leads people more often than not to failure. Wealthy Affiliate can and is consistently helping the absolutely newbie. You are going to learn the foundational building blocks and in the first few lessons alone you are going to have your very own niche website up and running.
Recycle items at the local recycling center if they accept collections. Many recycling sites will pay a small fee per pound of recyclable items. Go around your neighborhood collecting things like glass bottles, soda cans, newspapers, cereal boxes, and milk jugs. Have your parents drive you to the nearest recycling center and turn in your haul in exchange for money.[17]
My subscription with wa ended 11/28. I was told I would have 30 days to move the site after my membership expired I still have 16 days left. Prior to cancellation I asked tech support and people on the live chat and all confirmed I would have 30 days to move the site. At first I could not even figure out how to login but I figured out a way around their platform and was able to access admin to my site. NOBODY TOLD ME i WOULD BE BLOCKED FROM DOWNLOADING THE PLUGIN TO BACK UP THE SITE.
Thanks for making an honest review, and one that I can full out respect. I’m a current member of WA, and I’ll be honest right from the start, it takes a TON of work. And I don’t mean the type of work that’s included in Making commissions, I mean all the amount of hours to dedicate to your blog, content, sharing it via social media, getting commented, and all the SEO elements. And that’s just the thing, you’re putting all the hard work in, pumping out sometimes 3 articles per week that are quality/quantity on what you know and are very well experienced with to not make a dollar amount in return. Am I supposed to get a couple dollars once every 6 months lol, like cmon right? Some people work at a different rate, and I’m one who’s busted my butt off for the last 9 1/2 months, churning out content with only analytics, small amount of Traffic to show for. I’m seeing the progress in all the “other ways” like getting to page 1 of bing and yahoo for search phrases and writing types of targeted post to attract buyers, and that it’s not about the money which I’m 100% on board, I’m here to help and make money second.
No offense, but isn’t making money via Wealthy Affiliate commission through giving them a good review to prompt others to join essentially a pyramid scheme? Seems like you are luring people with the promise of the “easy money” on the internet that is actually a lot harder to obtain, by using earning you made from Wealthy Affiliate by convincing others to join in terms first place.
For starters they make no promises that what you will learn will be able to work on a regular site. The premise behind what they do is based on how blog-style sites work and generate traffic. Yes they do this in a completely different method. You can get traffic easier in a blog than with your web site. But since you "know what you are doing" already, you must have known that.
Amazon launched back in 1994 and, two short years later, they developed their Amazon Associates program. In so doing, Amazon was able to increase exposure to their marketplace by enabling web developers and site owners to work as evangelists for their products. It helped drive more traffic to Amazon while giving these business-minded individuals the opportunity to generate more revenue for their own sites and businesses.
First and foremost, I found this while doing research on these on line work from home business. I am just kind of put off with your review because honestly they way you described your actions and attitude to the company in general, I would have reacted in much the same way but I would not have been as nice about it. Let's face it....you were rude. You know what they say, "you get what you give. I don't think anyone out there who has out the time and effort into creating such a training program would be okay with any one skipping ahead to what they think they need. You came off like a know it all and nobody likes that. So in my opinion, you tried something, it didn't work so, you didn't get your way and so basically this is your rendition of throwing a tantrum...grow up!!!!

If you're running on fumes, financially speaking, but you have some money coming your way soon, consider pawning something of value to borrow fast cash. Of course, to get those items back you'll need to pay back the loan with interest. If you don't pay it back in time, that you'll lose the item. If it's really something that has a lot of intrinsic value to you, don't do it. But if it's something that doesn't, you can certainly consider it depending on your situation.
When I say that I love Wealthy Affiliate, I’m not just saying that because I’m an affiliate for them. I’m a very active premium member at Wealthy Affiliate and love interacting with people on a daily basis. If you join, you’ll see me posting on people’s profiles, answering questions, chatting in the live chat area, and I have private personal messaging conversations multiple times per day.

In most blogs I usually skip the post to the end. But your post is one in a million, so I read it from start to finish. I was a member of Wealthy Aff (2007 – 2010, then 2013 -2014). 110% agree with you. It seems that not just the sales letter but thousands of WA members are over praising WA all over the internet, like it will make people money 100% guarantee, while in most cases that just isn’t true. The main method is SEO and thanks to G Panda and Penguin getting ranking takes months and even more time to produce first sale. While it is a good place for beginners, since they walk you through steps like WordPress and important SEO techniques, but it will take time, perhaps years to see result. Which is a problem since WA charges monthly for their training. New members could spend over $500 on WA membership before seeing their first check. Also, I agree with you with the WA Bootcamp part. It misled newbies to promoting back WA while they still fail to make the money. I tried promoting WA myself and it was very hard to make even one sale and even worse, that referral only stayed for 3 months and then cancel his membership. That time I already have experience and made money in other niches. Despite all that, over 100,000++ websites on the internet a promoting WA, especially review sites like onemorecupof-coffee. Those review sites kept bashing other legitimate products like Bring The Fresh and recommending the readers to go for WA instead.
You can open a store without the burden of managing inventory. One of the ways in which you can use Amazon affiliate links is to populate your online store with third-party products. This spares you from having to produce, store, or even manage inventory. That’s all handled by the manufacturers. You only need to worry about maintaining your online store.

Many make claims to “keep digging”, your just a few blocks away and crap, and it’s enticing to see, but these days I steer away from the catchy dashboard headlines and money making attention articles that people post about. Not a minute after you mentioned Launch Jacking I had to look into it, and I read Jeff Lenney’s article. I actually can pin point a couple people who I can see doing this, and they are not the ones who have even tried out the product for themselves, or likely have an honest review, it’s just for the cash.

About the list, this is extremely helpful. I know some coaches who are already earning a lot of money and would choose to get paid for the information that they know but you, you choose to share it to everybody else free of charge. Be a proud brethren of Christ because this is his very attitude. I say this is an act of love. May it be returned to you and your family a million fold.
Well, if you’re into putting in the time for mere pennies, have you tried Amazon’s Mechanical Turk? If you’re into tedium and enjoy transcribing copy and/or correcting others’ grammatical faux pas, you should check it out. I wouldn’t buy that cabana on the beach just yet, but, hey, it’s a start, and if you put in a couple hours every day, you will probably make out better than with IM, and you can feel slightly superior to the guys with all the money asking you for help because they don’t know a homonym from a dangling participle. 😉

Sell stuff online. If you have high-quality items to sell, there are a slew of online marketplaces you can use. Just make sure you understand the fees associated with your sale before you take the plunge. Where neighborhood Facebook pages and Craigslist ads are free, many online marketplaces or consignment shops charge for ads or require you to fork over a percentage when you make a sale.
I appreciate that you recognize that WA is not a scam and definitely provides what is necessary to teach individuals how to create an website for their business and more. I also agree that in their promotion, WA makes it seems to easy, when in fact it requires much hard work. One has to have the desire to work hard to build a business, no matter if it’s brick and mortar or an online business.

But the main method that WA teaches these days – blogging about your favourite interest in the hope that some people will click your affiliate links and buy stuff – is a long hard road, and one that has a high chance of failure for a lot of people. But if you fail, WA will just say that you gave up too soon. What a convenient get-out clause for WA! If you succeed, WA takes the credit for showing you how to do it. But if you fail, it’s your own fault for giving up to early.

Often times Affiliate Marketing is Over-Hyped: You’ll see a lot of testimonials promising spectacular results with affiliate marketing, such as “person X made $60,000 in just 30 days as a brand new affiliate” & there’s many similar messaging like this that unfortunately give affiliate marketing the wrong perception, that its some sort of get rich quick scheme, which it is far from. This kind of insanely fast results most likely came from a successful Facebook ad or other successful paid aid. Sometimes due to multitude of factors an ad can just take off and generate high revenues for short period & then burn out. The difficulty is being able to sustain those kind of numbers consistently. FB for one doesn’t like most affilaite offers to be promoted, so eventually your FB ad account will get banned or your ad will burn through its audience and stop working. I know this because I’ve been there done that. Those massive pay days are fun but the real challenge is can you sustain it?
I don't promote WA and the training pushed me in a direction to promote something else. The idea is that you can create a business online working withing a category that you have passion in.  For me that is woodworking, but for others this is likely soemthing completely different.  There are lots of directions you can head.  People that say that the training is all about promoting the same company obviously have not gone through the training.  I didn't get a sense of that.
There are no down sides to joining Wealthy Affiliate. They are usually more viewed as a university rather than a typical make money online product. With a massive community to support you and easy to follow training courses, even those with no technical background can get help work through the process to build a great money making affiliate website.
Suppose you’re running a gadget blog and you’re delighted with your new Kindle Fire. So you write a post describing the new features and how you find it even more useful than your old Kindle. In the course of your post you add a text link to the product page on Amazon.com. You might mention that other users love it too, judging from the overwhelmingly positive user reviews, and maybe mention something about the range of Kindle Fire accessories that are available.

You get to hand-pick what you promote. Unlike display ad systems that typically choose which brands serve ads on your WordPress site, you have total control over this with Amazon affiliate links. You’ll never have to worry about a competitor’s link showing up on your site and the link will always be relevant to the content that it appears within or beside--which will improve its chances of getting clicked.
Tutor kids in a subject that you’re an expert at if you like teaching. Think about the classes you do best in at school or the topics you know a lot about. Help out your peers or teach younger kids who want to get a head start before the next school year. Put up fliers around your neighborhood or school with the topics you’re tutoring, the cost, and what services you offer.
Throw a bake sale if you like to cook. Choose classic recipes that are easy to make in big batches like chewy chocolate chip cookies, fudgy brownies, or vanilla cupcakes. Once you bake everything, separate your goodies into individual servings and place them in pretty packages like treat bags tied with ribbons. Set up a stand in your front yard or out on the street corner to get more traffic.
Hey Malcolm, Why don’t you ask this, ” I an considering going premium and was told if I wanted to leave wa I would have 30 days after cancelling to move my website but I have found several people online who say they cancelled and wa immediately blocked their access to download plugins necessary to move their site. These people said they had to pay for a month of premium to actually get access to move their sites and their emails to kyle and carson were ignored. What is the exact policy on this?”
Ever since the idea of online auctions came into existence, the online selling market has been on the rise. Many are interested, but don’t know how to get started. There are still all kinds of ways to make money by selling online, whether you’re selling what you already have or buying and selling like a store. Before we get started, here are a few general tips when selling anything online:
House sit if you have neighbors who go on vacation. Water their plants, take out the trash, check the mail, and keep an eye on things. They may ask you to visit 1 to 2 times a day or even spend the night at their house so it doesn’t look empty and prevents burglary. Follow all of your neighbor’s rules and instructions and always lock up the house when you leave to keep it safe.[11]
Some offers may have low commission or conversion rates: Not all affiliate offers were created equal. Some offers pay out more % per sale. Somer offers just don’t convert that well despite sending tons of traffic to them. It is important to pick a good offer that converts well & pays out high. Look for offers that are the most popular in your niche at clickbank.com, or look at other affiliates ranked on page 1 of Google within the niche and look at what type of offers they are promoting. Most likely those are the great offers to promote in the niche.
We can appreciate any frustration you have from the past. There are truly a lot of low grade and even scams in this industry, so your frustration is very much warranted. Honestly though, your experience is going to be much better and you are going to love your experience once you step foot into Wealthy Affiliate. There is not a more comprehensive, trusted and caring company in the industry for Internet Entrepreneurs.
And the one thing that used to really annoy me when I was a member of WA is that we would often get told that making money should not be the main goal. Not the main goal? The website has the word WEALTHY in it for f***’s sake! Saying that your #1 goal should not be to get rich is like telling a member of a weight loss club that their main goal should not be to lose weight!
Authors Note: We spend so much on education but earn less than $500 after graduation. I am also a believer that knowledge is power. You need to invest in Financial Education(Wealthy Affiliate, Inbox Blueprint or BuilderAll) that shows you how to make a living. It is not a must to study at Harvard like Mark Zuckerberg the Owner of Facebook to be great!
WA is a bull shit program and I totally agreed with crajun.com. Most people are misled with WA pitch as Starter to make a crappy website in 30 seconds of going thru 10 lessons of training level # 1…. Then you have to buy the premium membership to have access to the lessons in training level 2 to continue in finishing your crappy website without any affiliate links added to it… to fill it with affiliate links from Amazon, Nike, Adidas… etc, you have to sign up for their affiliate programs, then wait and see if you get approved and most likely you will not get approved because your website has no traffic and has no links to your what they call a Niche. Because your niche is based on affiliate links… I am so glad I did not go for the premium…. it’s a waste of time and money….
