I used to have fun doing surveys while I watched TV. I was choosy about the companies I used and I never paid to sign up for any. I got about $25 in free BlockBuster movie coupons, cashed out about $25 from another site and did an in house project trial where a company sent me to full size body lotions to use and record information about. I had fun, felt like my input was improving the business world, but I wasn’t looking to get rich quick, just earn a little bit in time that typically wasted. Some survey companies pay very little, others pay better. Of course, it is not fair to the businesses conducting the research to lie in order to qualify for a survey and they certainly deserve honest and thoughtful answers to their questions. The companies I worked with told me how much the survey would pay and how long it would it would take. Research for the reputable companies.
I wish I would have read this post before I became a premium member at WA in June 2017. I tried it out for a month but suddenly realized I was doing more to promote WA then I was working on my blogs. I didn’t realize that if you bowed out of premium that basically you could never log back into your WA profile unless you became premium again for life. I couldn’t see paying $49 a month for building blogs where I wouldn’t see any income or very little for quite some time so after one month, I decided to jump ship. My stomach turned afterwards when I realized that I cannot get back to my profile. To this day, I still have people following me on WA and little do they realize that I cannot respond to anything because the owners won’t let me back in.
My intent isn’t to make this Wealthy Affiliate review yet another digital sales pitch. As I searched for Wealthy Affiliate reviews, I noticed the vast majority of them are very one-sided, don’t offer any other options, and are simply biased sales pitches from affiliate marketers trying to make a buck. So, in MY Wealthy Affiliate  review, I’m going to do things a bit differently. Here are some of the topics I’d like to cover…
Many affiliate programs run with last-click attribution, where the affiliate receiving the last click before the sale gets 100% credit for the conversion. This is changing. With affiliate platforms providing new attribution models and reporting features, you are able to see a full-funnel, cross-channel view of how individual marketing tactics are working together. For example, you might see that a paid social campaign generated the first click, Affiliate X got click 2, and Affiliate Y got the last click. With this full picture, you can structure your affiliate commissions so that Affiliate X gets a percentage of the credit for the sale, even though they didn’t get the last click.
3) Budget & Expenses : Since I am a student and doing blogging as a part time, I have a limited budget. I would like to know how much budget or amount in total should I have (or idea about amount in my mind before starting) to create a site basically for Amazon Affiliate & then start generating sales (limited budget so can’t go for paid Adds, will be focusing totally on SEO)
I have a couple lessons to finish with the bootcamp, and what I’m thinking about doing if I even think about continuing to blog is create a site not around WA but to help others figure out how to make money online, wordpress, how to create a website, select a hosting platform like Hostgator which I had previous experience with before WA, clickfunnels and so forth. But yeah, it’s been real, and an eye opening experience. I’ll likely be transferring my domains back to Hostgator here.
Most of the useful teachings for affiliates are lessons you need to uncover through diligent search, trial, error and first-hand experience. A few of the resources I leveraged the most were Warrior Forum and the EPN community. There were a few blogs I used to follow as well, but most of what I found that worked was by way of focusing on building great sites, not on ‘how to make money’.
I started a blog which I plan to monetize only through affiliate marketing and my own products, no ads. I’ve been working on building an audience for my blog, for about 1 year and a half, many people think is maybe too much time, but I just want to make sure that I build enough trust with my readers before I start to try to make them buy something.
In the BigCommerce affiliate program, you receive a 200% bounty per referral and $1,500 per Enterprise referral, with no cap on commissions. Plus, the more referrals you drive through the program, the higher your commission tier will go. BigCommerce uses an industry leading 90-day cookie, so you will receive credit for up to three months for the referrals you generate. Also, there are no obligations or minimum commitments to join the program.
Some of the tools(not all) on this page contain affiliate links which mean that if you choose to make a purchase, I will earn a commission. This commission comes at no other cost to you. Please understand that I recommend them because they are helpful and useful, not because of the small commissions I make if you decide to buy something. Please do not spend any money on these products unless you feel you need them or that they will help you achieve your goals. Thanks!
The biggest issue I’ve had with previous training programs and marketing communities is how outdated they get. With a Wealthy Affiliate Premium membership, you don’t need to worry about that. New trainings are added daily including live weekly video training sessions. You can also search and browse past trainings they’ve created over the years. With a premium membership, you also get unlimited access to community features which is one of my favorite aspects of Wealthy Affiliate. I spend hours per day simply chatting and messaging people who clicked on my Wealthy Affiliate affiliate link. When they use my link to sign up, I get notified, and the personal one-on-one coaching can begin. No other platform has offered this option before.
It seams that owning a membership site is the best policy for making any real money online ,this way you are more or less guaranteed a monthly and even an annual income. All of the top people in affiliate marketing have used this method, and are getting quite rich using it. These people did not get rich by merely applying the affiliate marketing strategy that they are offering to their members, which shows that you will not get rich by what they are offering to you.
21. Facebook – Facebook swap shops are great for selling things locally. It’s like CraigsList, but a little easier. You simply search for swap shops in your area and ask to join the group. Once you’re in, take a picture of the item, write a quick description with the price and post it. It doesn’t get much easier than that. You can generally expect to get about what you would get at a yard sale, maybe a little more.
If you want the full story, you can check out my about me page (it’s a pretty cool story if I may say so myself). The short version is that I got started with affiliate marketing back in 2009 and was able to go full-time in 2011. I now own more than a dozen websites in several different niche industries. You can see a listing of most of my sites at RogersConcepts.com.
Now that you’ve got the basics down, we’ll dig into the strategies and tactics that will help you accelerate your affiliate marketing success. We’ll revisit some of the crucial basics, go over the must-dos of affiliate marketing, explore different promotion types, dig into some advanced affiliate marketing strategies, and uncover ways to stay on track when the going gets tough.
Sell scavenged valuables. If you have a metal detector, or even just a good eye, go to public places where people are likely to drop something unnoticed (such as parks, beaches, and shopping areas), and look for money, jewelry and other valuable goods. This method isn’t very reliable, but you just might get lucky and be able to find something you can sell quickly for cash.

Hi Craig – Correct me if I am wrong, but your information about not being able to access your website after going Premium is also misleading. Your domain name is your own and you can move it to any other hosting company. When you quit your hosting from any company — including Wealthy Affiliate — of course you can no longer access your site from there. You make it sound like your site is “lost” or somehow WA makes it “disappear” when in fact all you need to do is pay someone else to host it and move your domain. You will pay for hosting no matter what, it is often $25+ per month for not even as many features as are offered by Wealthy Affiliate. This means that for an additional $25 you can access on-going training on SEO updates, social media, and other necessary services. This seems like a deal to me. Yes, Wealthy Affiliate makes it sound easier than it is to get to the money, but I would rather that people figure out that they are not willing to do the work for a $49 loss than for a $300-$1000+ loss as is the cost of other programs.
We can appreciate any frustration you have from the past. There are truly a lot of low grade and even scams in this industry, so your frustration is very much warranted. Honestly though, your experience is going to be much better and you are going to love your experience once you step foot into Wealthy Affiliate. There is not a more comprehensive, trusted and caring company in the industry for Internet Entrepreneurs.

This review is right on the money. I know exactly what Craig is saying here because I’ve been in the online space for quite some time now ;). The information in WA is not incorrect, but as Craig said, the process is grossly oversimplified. This is probably intended to draw in newbies more easily. Look at it like this, each of those main steps probably have like 50-100 substeps, if not more, lol. You have to be disciplined, learn and absorb all the theory and apply it, but folks suffer too much from Get Rich Quick mentality and impatience online. Think about it, if it takes REAL work to build a regular bricks and mortar business, what makes you think it won’t take you work to build a business that just simply happens to based online? It is still all within the realm of this universe, law, and universal laws hold haha. Anyway, not meaning to be facetious. All else being equal, the best thing about an business that happens to be based online is the ability it has to SCALE! That’s where the real advantages come in IMHO. Best of luck to you all
I have been following the video’s on Youtube involving Income school, and i am quite astonished at the information that the 2 founders have compiled and are freely showing. They are displaying some really good advice and facts, backed up by actual evidence that i think that anyone serious about learning internet marketing should have a look at. When you see what they have to offer i think you will be quite surprised. The best part about it is that there are 2 actual live persons that you can see and hear and not just a voice behind a microphone .
2. As an affiliate marketer, there are 100’s of millions of products and services you can promote in exchange for a commission. You sign up for what are called “affiliate programs” and once you do that, you are given special links for that company that are unique to you. When you send people to one of those links (through your website, social media, email, or otherwise) and they buy something, you get a % commission. For example, if you sign up to Amazons affiliate program, you can promote any product on their website and earn 6% commissions. Commissions range from 5-75% typically, depending on the program.
Hi Amol, You can’t really expect to make it as an affiliate without a blog, e.g., content strategy. You don’t necessarily need to ‘blog’, but you would need to continually add new content – whether it be evergreen content, product pages with detailed descriptions, etc. WA basically attempts to show you how to manage a WordPress site, how to get it ranked and options for monetizing it.
There is no shortage of products you’ll be able to promote. You’ll have the ability to pick and choose products that you personally believe in, so make sure that your campaigns center around truly valuable products that consumers will enjoy. You’ll achieve an impressive conversion rate while simultaneously establishing the reliability of your personal brand.
FREE Lifetime Account. Once again this is not a limited 7-day free trial, requiring a credit card like many other business opportunities offer. This lifetime account for Wealthy Affiliate is completely free and you will gain access to the most successful online community in the world. You will also get the “Getting Started Guide”, 2 free websites, a free keyword research tool and much more.

As the years passed they moved more towards the blogging model and the concept that anyone can build a business by blogging about whatever they are most interested in. This approach is far more long-winded and very hit-and-miss in terms of how likely people are to succeed. Sure, some people will eventually find great success if their chosen topic happens to be a profitable niche and they are good at writing and stick it out for long enough. For many others it will not go beyond being a hobby site that pays a bit of spare change. No need to sign up to Wealthy Affiliate to do that. Just throw up a free blog at Blogspot.com, write about what you’re interested in, and throw in some affiliate links here and there. It’s not rocket science, folks.

Want to know a little secret about this site? When I first started this site, I only planned on monetizing by selling my OWN affiliate marketer training course. About halfway through creating my course, I realized that I would never be able to provide the type of quality product I intended. Even if I could, it would become outdated so fast that in just a couple years, I wouldn’t be able to sell it anymore.
Wealthy Affiliate is a good service if you’re the type of person who knows next to nothing about IM and wants a quick blueprint for how it works. There is better information out there, for sure, but what WA does well is aggregate that info and provide a very easy to follow, go-at-your-own-pace method for getting you up and running. I went through their first 2 courses in an effort to rate the quality and accuracy of the lessons they give you ad they’re really not bad. There were things I think which could have been done a little better, but all in all, I feel they provide a good primer for IM and getting started with WP.

Sell things to pedestrians. Entrepreneurial sorts sell things like cold drinks on hot days or hot nuts in winter. This method can be especially lucrative if you set up a spot near a sporting event, park, etc. You’ll need to have a small amount of money to invest in the product, but then you can sell it at a much higher return and make some quick cash.
